La primera fotografía impresa de Sierra Nevada

Esta fotografía de un macho montés, junto a otra de perfil, son las más antiguas fotografías publicadas de Sierra Nevada. Se encuentran en la obra inglesa Wild Spain (1893), de los autores Abel Chapman y Walter J. Buck. Hasta esta imagen que hoy presento, se pensaba que el raro libro titulado En Sierra Nevada (1900), de Nicolás María López, obstentaba dicho título honorífico.

This photograph of a mountain goat, along with another in profile, are the oldest published photographs of the Sierra Nevada. They are found in the English work Wild Spain (1893), by the authors Abel Chapman and Walter J. Buck. Until this image that I present today, it was thought that the rare book titled En Sierra Nevada (1900), by Nicolás María López, held said honorific title.
