The Trevenque is the king of the "Baja Montaña" (Low Mountain). Its altitude (2,079 m) and its steep dolomite slopes not only drive mountaineers crazy, but these sands (called "blanquizales") shelter a high number of endemic species, such as the beautiful and exclusive Armeria filicaulis subsp. trevenqueana. Behind, the edge of Tozal del Cartujo and, at the top left, the Elorrieta refuge (March 2016).
