Neveros
En los años de abundantes nieves podemos observar en los inicios del verano numerosas manchas de nieve (los denominados neveros) que, sobre todo en las vertientes nortes, no se derriten hasta finales del estío, como los de la imagen, en la cabecera del río Genil (julio 2026).In years with heavy snowfall, at the beginning of summer, one can observe numerous patches of snow (known as "neveros") which, especially on north-facing slopes, do not melt until the end of the summer season; an example of this can be seen in the image, taken at the headwaters of the Genil River (July 2026).
