La oropéndola (Oriolus oriolus subsp. oriolus) es una especie migradora estival que nidifica en Sierra Nevada. Ave forestal de carácter cauto, es más fácil observarla alimentándose de los frutos de árboles como morales (Morus nigra), cerezos (Prunus avium) o higueras (Ficus carica) entre otras especies.
