Testigos del tiempo
Los bosques de roble (Quercus pyrenaica) del sureste de la Península son vestigios de tiempos pasados, gracias en parte a su condición estolonífera (que rebrotan de la raíz). La mayor parte de nuestros robledales son jóvenes, aunque existen ejemplares centenarios como el de la imagen en diversas localidades de Sierra Nevada, como ocurre por ejemplo en la Dehesa del Camarate (Lugros), Puente Palo (Soportujar) o valle del río Genil (Güejar Sierra), donde está tomada esta imagen.
