Omnívoro por excelencia
Aunque preferentemente carnívoro, la dieta del zorro (Vulpes vulpes) hace considerar a esta especie como omnívora. Su actividad es tanto diurna como noctura durante las cuatro estaciones del año y a cualquier altitud.
