Así denominado por los lugareños por su frecuencia en visitar los neveros con la intención de recolectar insectos incrustados por el viento, Prunella collaris no es sin embargo la única especie con este comportamiento alimenticio, sino que comparte "mesa" con otras como colirrojos tizones (Phoenicurus ochruros subsp. aterrimus) o collalbas grises (Oenanthe oenanthe). Thus named by the locals due to its frequency in visiting the snowfields with the intention of collecting insects encrusted by the wind, Prunella collaris is not, however, the only species with this feeding behavior, but shares a "table" with others such as black redstarts (Phoenicurus ochruros subsp. aterrimus), northern wheatear (Oenanthe oenanthe)...
