LA ALPUJARRA
La vertiente sur (mediterránea) de la Sierra, orográfica y climáticamente más suave que su antagónica y áspera fachada norte (atlántica) ha sido habitada y transformada por el hombre desde tiempos inmemoriables. Posee una impronta muy personal, fácilmente reconocible por ejemplo por sus verdes y amplios bancales salpicados por una tipología arquitectonica sin parangón.
The southern (Mediterranean) slope of the Sierra, orographically and climatically softer than its antagonistic and rough north (Atlantic) facade has been inhabited and transformed by man since time immemorial. It has a very personal imprint, easily recognizable, for example, by its large, green terraces dotted with an unparalleled architectural typology.
